GTC's work in the Community...
SUPPORT FOR LOCAL BIG MOUTHS!

GTC were delighted to be able to respond to a plea for help recently, when they were approached by Big Mouth, a new youth organisation linked to YaSiG (Young and Safe in Gainsborough). The company are keen to raise funds for a range of young people's projects, and approached GTC to see if they could use the Old Nick premises for a fund-raising Sponsored Spook. We were, of course, delighted to support this local community group and felt it was a good enough cause to offer the use of the building free of charge. We just hope the brave young people being sponsored won't hold it against us if anything scary turns up during their overnight stay!

GTC SUMMER ACTIVITIES

Although we were taking a break from presenting theatre, GTC were still a noticeable presence out and about this Summer. Members turned out to run games and a raffle stall at this year's Riverside Festival and also provided games and raffle sales at Lark In The Park. Chairman Barry was also busy, commentating at both events. Finally, GTC's annual Treasure Hunt toured the local area, and was widely agreed to be one of our best yet, ending with an informal picnic at Eleanor's home in Upton. Thank you to everyone who gave up their own time to fund-raise or provide summer entertainment. We hope very much there will be a variety of further fund-raising and social events as our new season continues.

GHOST WALKS & VIGILS
The Gainsborough Ghost Trail Xperience continues to go from strength to strength and the winter months see a revival of this popular event. The Old Nick - complete with its in-house ghosts - continues to be a major part in this entertaining historical stroll, with GTC members leading tours and providing some unexpected surprises along the way. For further details, log on to www.ghost-trails.co.uk
While we're on the subject of the supernatural, the Old Nick also continues to welcome a number of Paranormal Societies for overnight vigils and investigations at our haunted premises. Enquiries from as far afield as Bristol have led to visits which suggest that our members aren't the only people occupying the building on cold winter nights! To offer yourself as a Volunteer to man the building during a Vigil, or to book a date to carry out your own investigation, call us on (01427) 810616 or contact us via this website.
